We heavily invest in our workforce so to ensure that quality of service and the safety and well being of our clients is never compromised. All members of staff have to complete an induction programme and mandatory training in line with current regulations. The mandatory training is ongoing and updated throughout your career with Athena Care. The units covered in mandatory training include the following subjects:
3-day inclusive training programme
Due to the nature of the job, 3-day training has to be completed prior to any carer commencing a start date with a service user. Following our mandatory 3-day training, carers begin our 12-week induction programme and are required to complete performance reviews as part of their assessment; upon completion our carers receive certification.
In addition, we can also source specialist training according to the service user’s needs such as PEG feeding training and more. We also encourage all staff to complete an NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
